Southern California Compass Blueprint Demonstration Projects - Call for Proposals
Looking for help with an exciting project?
Can SCAG's Compass Blueprint planning program help your city?
Announcing an open call for applications for assistance through the Southern California Association of Governments' (SCAG) Compass Blueprint Demonstration Project Program.
Planning Services are available, free of charge, to local governments to promote creative, forward-thinking, and sustainable development solutions that fit local needs and support shared regional values. Services are offered for Demonstration Projects that are expected to result in progressive future development that provide local and regional benefits.
Requests are evaluated, in part, based on the project's ability to provide balanced transportation choice and a mixture of land uses and housing types consistent with the principles of the Compass Blueprint. Projects that are located within downtowns, along transportation corridors and in proximity to significant transit infrastructure will receive additional consideration.
Applications will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on January 25th, 2008. More information and application materials are available at www.compassblueprint.org. All applicants, or interested persons are encouraged to contact SCAG directly. E-mail or call Mark Butala at 213-236-1945. SCAG staff is eager to assist you in assembling a winning application.
