Buckingham Village 3 Request for Proposals (RFP)

The County seeks proposals from development firms or teams with expertise in designing and implementing affordable home ownership and rental housing opportunities for a range of income levels on historic property. The developer or development team ultimately chosen will help the County preserve one of its most diverse as well as historic communities.
Project Information
Buckingham Village 3 is an existing garden-style apartment community with 140 one- and two-bedroom units. Buckingham Village 3 is located in Arlington, Virginia, ¾ mile from the Ballston Metro stop (the system's Orange Line).
Required Affordable Housing Program Components
Rehabilitation or build-out of 140 or more dwelling units;
Historic preservation of the buildings, trees, and open space;
Affordable home ownership and/or rental opportunities for a culturally and economically diverse population (incomes ranging from 10% to 100% of the area median income).
