Salary: Dependent on Qualifications

Qualifications:
Ph.D./D.Pl. in urban planning, or a Ph.D. in a closely related field. Record of teaching undergraduate and graduate urban planning students. Publications or equivalencies, such as comprehensive plans, showing a pattern of scholarly activity. Successful candidate should demonstrate administrative experience. Evidence of success in securing funding from governmental and/or private sources for urban planning projects. Demonstrated ability to successfully mentor and teach in a diverse student population. Knowledge of technological applications, such as GIS, which are appropriate to urban planning, is desirable. Applications are welcomed from candidates with membership and service with one of the following: American Planning Association, Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning, American Institute of Certified Planners.

CSUN is a Learning Centered University. The successful candidate will be expected to join faculty and staff in a commitment to active learning, to the assessment of learning outcomes, and to multiple pathways that enable students to graduate.

At time of appointment, the successful candidate, if not a U.S. citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States. Evidence of degree(s) required at time of hire.
