RFP: “Right-Sizing” Citywide Off-Street Parking Standards

RFP: “Right-Sizing” Citywide Off-Street Parking Standards

City of Raleigh

The City of Raleigh seeks professional consultant services to undertake a thorough review of the City's off-street parking standards and recommend modifications and revisions intended to result in a substantially revised, state-of-the-art ordinance. Raleigh's off-street parking requirements are outdated and do not best practices such as shared parking for mixed-use developments. The ordinance revisions should not only address minimum and maximum spaces required, but also issues such as parking lot and parking structure placement and design, and encouraging low-impact practices such as permeable pavement. A special focus will be recommended parking standards for the City's pedestrian business districts.
