Module One: "Introduction to Dynamic Planning: The Charrette in Context"
November 6, 2006

This half-day NCI seminar will provide a complete overview of the NCI Dynamic Planning process. The NCI Dynamic Planning process provides holistic solutions to design and public involvement obstacles encountered in most conventional planning processes. Dynamic Planning begins with the project vision and ends with the plan's implementation. It includes the use of collaborative design and public involvement tools, such as charrettes, visioning, and workshops.

Module Two: "Continuing Dynamic Planning: Professional Tools and Techniques"
November 6-8, 2006

This two-and-a-half-day training will teach you how to plan a charrette using NCI's time-tested methods. The training will allow you not only to learn about the NCI Dynamic Planning and charrette processes, but will also give you the chance to hear from your peers about the problems they are facing and solving!

**NCI Advanced Charrette Manager™ Certification Program**

Module Three: "Advanced Charrette Management"
November 9-10, 2006

This new course is intended for professionals who will be managing and running charrettes. Charrettes are dynamic events with unique challenges. Charrette managers must be quick on their feet and have a large toolbox of processes and skills. This advanced charrette management training will equip charrette managers with the essential tools and techniques required to handle unique, fast paced, and constantly changing, multiple-day charrettes. This is an advanced course for serious planning practitioners.

You will learn to:
•Assemble, schedule, and manage a charrette team
•Design and manage a charrette studio including equipment, layout and food
•Facilitate design decision-making during a charrette, including criteria based analysis using OSM (objectives, strategies, and measures)
•Manage the production process including information technology
•Manage the press
