Proposal Deadline: June 9, 2006
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization for a three county region that includes the cities of Austin, San Marcos, and Round Rock, Texas. CAMPO is seeking consultation and technical assistance for marketing and facilitating public workshops and other outreach events to solicit input on a regional growth concept for a study area that includes the 5-county Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area. The workshop results will be incorporated into a regional growth concept that is presented to the CAMPO Transportation Policy Board for approval in late 2006.
The regional growth concept will be used in the selection of major transportation investments for the upcoming CAMPO 2035 Metropolitan Transportation Plan update, and any likely local policy changes resulting from the concept will be factored into the population and employment forecast methodology used in the plan update process.
