Planetizen

Planetizen -- As a special feature of this year's AICP* Online Preparation Course, Planetizen is pleased to partner with the University of Southern California's School of Policy, Planning and Development to offer a day-long AICP preparation seminar provided by course instructor Jennifer Evans-Cowley, PhD, AICP.

The seminar will take place on April 1, 2006 from 8am - 4:30pm PST in Los Angeles, California on the campus of the University of Southern California.

This special event packs a comprehensive primer on AICP topics into just one day! A unique opportunity to interact with Professor Evans-Crowley face-to-face, the intimate seminar will include both lecture and question-and-answer sessions with coverage of:

  • How to Study for the Exam and Key Study Materials
  • History and Theory of City and Regional Planning
  • Planning Law
  • Statistics
  • Subdivision Regulations and Site Planning
  • Zoning
  • Data and Forecasting
  • Planning Ethics
  • Planning Administration

Dr. Evans-Cowley has been a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners for the last six years and is an Assistant Professor of City and Regional Planning at the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. She regularly teaches courses to prepare candidates to take the AICP exam and serves as the professional development officer for the Ohio Chapter of the American Planning Association.

Learn from the instructor of a course that has been called "invaluable" and "head and shoulders above the APA prep materials" by recent students!

To register for this event, please contact Brenda Meyer ([email protected]) before the 2pm PST, Thursday, March 30, 2006 deadline. The fee for the seminar is $75.
