Learn how to conduct an effective market analysis and be more persuasive
Rutgers University, Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy
Even if you're not a developer, you should know how to use one of the most important tools of development: market analysis. Starting November 23, noted real estate expert Deborah Brett will teach Developer's Toolbox: Market Analysis for Bloustein Online Continuing Education for Planners (BOCEP).
In this online course, you will learn how to use and build market studies and communicate the findings effectively to your audiences. The instructor, Deborah L. Brett, has more than 30 years of experience in real estate and has written widely about development.
Like all BOCEP courses, you can participate in Market Analysis at any time from any computer with an Internet connection. Running from November 23 to December 31, the course gives you plenty of time to explore development issues with your instructor and your classmates. Most BOCEP students are mid- and senior-level planning professionals from around the United States. What you'll learn in the class you can apply anywhere in the country.
Market Analysis is one of three BOCEP courses in November. You can learn to be more persuasive with colleagues, supervisors, officials and constituents with Effective Client Relations. If you didn't get to take that environmental course in planning school, try Environmental Planning through BOCEP. All the courses are taught at a graduate level by expert practitioners or researchers. Each class merits 14 Continuing Professional Development credits from the American Institute of Certified Planners.
BOCEP courses cost $250. But there are many discounts of 10% to 40%. Planetizen subscribers receive a discount of $25 per course. (Please use Promotion Code: F0883)
BOCEP courses are for planning, community development and land use professionals who expect to learn a lot in continuing education courses. Our course evaluations show that students were pleased with their course and the program. A vast majority of students would recommend the BOCEP program or their course to their colleagues and planning officials.
BOCEP is produced by the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The Bloustein School is one of the leading centers of planning in the United States.
