Summary
The Town of Marana, Arizona seeks a land use planning firm to prepare a comprehensive revision of its zoning, subdivision, and other land use regulations, collectively known as the Land Development Code (LDC). Marana, incorporated in 1977, has made numerous modifications to its regulations over time, but has never engaged in a comprehensive revision. As a first step, however, the Town is recodifying its entire Town Code, which has helped identify a number of redundancies and inconsistencies in the Land Development Code chapters.
The budget for this project is $150,000.
The Town seeks consultants' recommendations as to whether zoning and subdivision regulations should be contained in separate chapters of the Code, or whether a unified development code can be more effective, consistent with Arizona law.
