Certification in Public Participation
Sacramento Regional Consortium of the Institute of Cultural Affairs
The Sacramento Regional Consortium of the Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) is pleased to be partnering with the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) to bring this Public Participation Certification program to Sacramento the week of April 11-15, 2005. All three courses for certification will be offered back to back during the week. You may also enroll for individual courses that week.
Planning for Effective Public Participation – April 11-12, 2005
Communications for Effective Public Participation – April 13, 2005
Techniques for Effective Public Participation – April 14-15, 2005
The program will be taught by Dr. Marty Rozelle who has 30 years experience in public policy development, conflict resolution, third-party facilitation, and public participation program design for a wide rage of projects nationally and internationally. Dr. Rozelle's experience in the application of different collaborative problem-solving techniques has resulted in a consensus or an effective success strategy for more than 300 projects. She writes and speaks widely on public participation issues.
The program will be in Old Sacramento at the Sacramento Regional Consortium ICA office located within easy walking distance from the Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites and the Amtrak Station.
