Transport Chicago Conference - Call for Papers
Transport Chicago
For the past 20 years, more than 200 academics, transportation and planning professionals, and other interested parties have gathered each June in Chicago to learn of recent research and innovations in transportation and to debate current issues in planning and policy. The annual Transport Chicago conference presents an excellent opportunity to hear nationally recognized transportation experts, discover current industry practices and meet with colleagues in the field.
The volunteer Steering Committee invites you to present a research paper at the 20th annual Transport Chicago conference on Friday, June 3, 2005. We seek papers dealing with all aspects of transportation, including planning, mass transit, freight, air, rail, bicycle transportation and walking.
Papers chosen for presentation will be published on CD-ROM for conference attendees. Paper presentation will occur in one of two separate forums: oral presentation before an audience or display at a "poster session." While the committee requests that each author indicate a preference, the committee retains final decision-making authority on forum assignment. Student papers are encouraged and will be eligible for cash prizes on conference day.
If interested, please submit a 250-word abstract for anonymous review by the Steering Committee in the following format by Monday, March 14, 2005:
Page 1: Paper title; name and affiliation of each author; postal address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address of the corresponding author; whether the paper should be part of the student paper competition; how the author found out about the call for papers, and forum preference.
Page 2: Paper title, abstract (but no identification of author or affiliation).
Submit by e-mail, postal mail or fax to the address below. You will be notified by April 6th if your paper has been accepted.
