Hands-on Training Course on Using a Geographic Information System

The course is designed for people who are familiar with the idea of a GIS, but who have never had hands-on experience. You will learn to:

· Understand the role of GIS in conservation/land use planning ;
· Learn how to collect and enter data using the GPS;
· Learn how to interpret and map the data you have collected.
. Learn how to use aerial photography to assist in mapmaking.

Cost: US $850 (€ 640, £450) including tuition, accommodation and all costs except transport to Iracambi and liquor.
