The Planning Research Centre invites you to join our Director, Professor Edward J Blakely on a Study Tour of the US and Canada. Professor Blakely is an internationally recognised leader in Urban and Regional Development and has travelled the world specialising in urban and regional revitalisation. Delegates will be treated to site tours and presentations from local development teams and given insights into successes and failures in San Francisco, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles.

U.S. Participants are welcome! (And a good deal, given exchange rates.)

Infrastructure design and development

Value capture and financing tools and techniques

Housing and mixed user density approaches to community design

Environmental and natural habitat protection and sustainable systems
approaches
