National Conference on Community and Academic Partnerships
The National Urban Internet, Inc.
On Oct. 12 & 13, the Small Town Alliance, along with the Dr. Samuel P. Massie Chairs of Excellence, USDA, DOE, and others, will convene the National Conference on Community and Academic Partnerships. Leaders from various sectors will engage in an intensive two-day learning forum. The program format will address needs and challenges of small towns, limited resource farmers, community-based organizations and faith-based groups. It will highlight successful collaborative community/academic partnerships that work to meet needs and challenges of small towns and community and faith-based organizations. Program speakers will include representatives from Federal and state agencies, private funding organizations, small towns and the educational community. This interactive forum will give participants an opportunity to network and interact with government decision-makers and program managers. All conference participants will realize informative and supportive resources as well as gain ideas for successful projects and collaborations, which can enhance small towns and the services and programs available within them.
