Federal Reserve Bank Conference Keynote Challenges Status Quo
czb
The Federal Reserve Bank's bi-annual conference on the Community Reinvestment Act was held in Hollywood March 29-31. The luncheon on Monday challenged the status quo of the field of community development. Addressing 450 bankers and others in the field, Charles Buki, principal of czb, asked:
What problem are you trying to solve?
How do you know it is the right problem?
What data are you mining to give what information to whom for what purpose?
Are you in the housing business or are you trying to develop healthy communities?
Are you in the neighborhood business or the housing business?
