Joint 2004 Association for Community Design and Structures for Inclusion 4 Conference, March 25-28, Atlanta, GA
The Association for Community Design/Community Housing Resource Center
ACD's Community Design: Practice or Praxis? will explore how the values and ethical codes of the community design movement will continue to be manifested in neighborhoods and communities across America. Structures for Inclusion 4 Choosing Relevancy will explore the conscious decisions designers make on whom to serve--the few or the many--and the impact these decisions have in determining the relevance of designers in society.
Highlights of the joint conference include planning and design tours of Atlanta, keynote speech by Walter Hood, Chair of the UC Berkeley Department of Landscape Architecture, and various speaker and panel discussions.
Conference fees are as follows: $25 for students, $50 for interns, $100 for ACD members and $100 for professionals. The registration fee includes access to all events for both the 2004 ACD Conference and Structures for Inclusion 4.
The Association for Community Design (ACD) is an international network of individuals, organizations, and institutions committed to increasing the capacity of planning and design professions to better serve communities.
