Green Development Online Course
The Conservation Fund
THE PRACTICE OF ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE DEVELOPMENT ONLINE COURSE
MARCH 8 - MAY 9, 2004
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The last two decades have seen the emergence and increasing marketability of a new style of land development. Whether referred to as "green," "sustainable," or "environmentally sensitive," the new approaches to land conservation have one characteristic in common: they are designed and marketed to balance environmental protection with economic return.
This pilot INTERNET-BASED course provides participants with "why" and "how-to" advice on practical, cost-effective ways to apply the principles and techniques of green development to the real estate industry. The course includes online lecture-presentations, reading materials, case studies, and "Ask the Expert" Q&A/discussion sessions.
COURSE LEADERS:
Randall Arendt, Greener Prospects
James Heid, UrbanGreen
Jeff Kingsbury, McStain Neighborhoods
