New National Consultant Directory for Urban Planning and Development Community
A new national web-based consultant directory published on PLANetizen has attracted more than 50,000 visitors interested in learning more about planning and development firms. With over 60 categories of specialists -- from airport planning to new urbanism to zoning -- the PLANetizen consultant directory connects local and state planning professionals with a national audience of firms providing their services in all phases of the real estate development process.
"Government officials are turning to the Internet to find listings of firms that can help them plan, design, and build a wide range of projects", said Chris Steins, PLANetizen's editor. "As projects become more complex and multidisciplinary, many private consulting firms are also using the Internet to find like-minded firms with which to partner."
The directory includes consulting firms from across the United States and Canada, and can be searched by firm name, city, state or province, or area of expertise. Since the launch of the consultant directory on August 7, 2003, the directory has been visited by over 50,000 city planners, architects, developers, designers and other visitors.
The consultant directory can be found on the PLANetizen website:
Firms and organizations which provide services to the urban planning and development industry, but which are not yet included in the directory can sign up using a web-based form, also available on the directory website.
The consultant directory is supported by PLANetizen (http://www.planetizen.com), the nation's most popular website for the urban planning and development community. PLANetizen provides a daily summary of the top urban planning and development news throughout the day, as well as employment listings, editorials, press releases, book lists and training. Over 10,000 planning and development professionals visit the website daily, resulting in 850,000 monthly page impressions and over 4 million monthly hits. PLANetizen's audience represents approximately $9 billion in annual spending on services.
