Great Houses for Great Neighborhoods: Traditional Neighborhood Housing Design
The Seaside Institute
Join The Seaside Institute and the City of Norfolk as Zimmerman/Volk Associates presents "GREAT HOUSES FOR GREAT NEIGHBORHOODS: Traditional Neighborhood Housing Design" September 25-27, 2003 in Norfolk, VA.
This in-depth, interactive workshop will give participants the opportunity to explore how to create, improve and enhance the residential buildings and dwelling units that make up a sustainable traditional neighborhood, both new and existing. The workshop is designed to help builders, developers and designers rethink the form and function of housing compatible with urban and traditional neighborhoods. Those attending the conference are also encouraged to submit house and building plans for review at the conference. Plans selected by the faculty from among those submitted will be reviewed with suggestions for revisions to enhance sustainability.
