Our rural city (pop. 2084) has a tourism-based economy and is facing on-going growth and development. A local citizen's group which serves in an advisory capacity to city planning staff is concerned about protecting the views of the lake, mountains, etc. in the area. Would like examples of view shed ordinances that other communities may have enacted.




Recently, our community was given a large bronze sculpture to place in a city park. This donation generated months of discussion among community members. Citizens are asking the City Council to enact an ordinance governing the acceptance of donations of public art. Would like examples of this type of ordinance as well.
