Project by project, revitalization groups are buying up eyesores in West Tampa.
"Project by project, revitalization groups are buying up eyesores in West Tampa. The most recent sell by the Tampa Housing Authority is the 10 blue, boarded-up buildings between North Boulevard and Willow Street. The state Department of Transportation will tear down the buildings within the next couple of months. When Interstate 275 is widened in 2007, that space will become the new on-ramp. It is the second property sold by the housing authority in the past three weeks. Another, North Boulevard Homes, may become an Olympic Village."
