The Consultation Draft of a National Inquiry into the education and employment of planners in Australia has been released. The Draft recommendations include creating more undergraduate university positions for planners, "pooling" planning resources in regional and rural areas where shortages exist, and improving the development assessment process to separate policy and development decision making.
