"Would you characterize the collapse of the World Trade Center towers as a failure of the design and engineering which led to the deaths of several thousand? Or was it a triumph of innovation and design that enabled tens of thousands to escape because the buildings where able to remain standing for nearly an hour each after such a catastrophic impact that likely would have caused almost any other conventionally built structure to collapse almost immediately?...Q. 7. Ive been fascinated by watching the decision about rebuilding, but its a complicated, ongoing story. What did you think of the various designs for the new buildings, and do you think the best design won?"
