"The proposal for 343 condominiums, shops, and offices was touted as environmentally friendly because it was within walking distance of the Holbrook/Randolph commuter rail station, and would mean fewer people driving cars... The setback for Old English Square, as the development by the Joseph R. Mullins Co. is called, has become another hard lesson in local politics for the Romney administration, which has made development near rail stations a centerpiece of its emerging antisprawl program."
