Principal Planner

The City of Dublin is seeking a dynamic Principal Planner to lead complex development review and long-range planning assignments and technical guidance to planning staff. This position calls for an experienced planner who can independently research issues, develop clear recommendations, coordinate work across departments, and carry assignments through to completion.

Assignments may include substantial residential and commercial development, General Plan and specific plan amendments, zoning updates, housing policies, environmental review, and reports and presentations to the Planning Commission and City Council. The Principal Planner manages schedules and consultant work, reviews staff analysis, and helps resolve issues affecting project delivery.
