POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Economic Development Officer
City of The Dalles
Closing Date: Open until filled, first review February 12, 2025
DEFINITION: The Economic Development Officer represents the City and Columbia Gateway Urban Renewal Agency to help drive economic development throughout the community.
QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science field such as Economics or Political Science.
Experience: Experience in local government administration including economic development, budget management, performance management, and project research and management.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Valid Driver's License
PAY: $82,975.00 - $102,048.79 annually, plus generous benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance and employer-paid retirement contributions equal to 13.5% of base wage after one year of employment.
