About Our Agency: The Madison County Council of Governments (MCCOG) is a multidisciplinary metropolitan planning and design agency that provides full-service technical assistance to local units of government in central Indiana. We are located in the northeastern part of the growing central Indiana metropolitan area. Our team supports communities in managing their priorities for growth and change.
Position Description: MCCOG is looking for a qualified professional to serve as a Senior Planner on its Community Planning and Design Team. As a planner with the agency, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape communities within our region. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: You have demonstrated experience in urban design principles, practices, and their applicability to a community or the region. You have excellent writing and speaking skills and understand data development, data usage, and data analysis. Experience working with professionals from other disciplines, such as community and economic development, landscape architecture, architecture, engineering, transportation, and land use. You can collaborate with internal and external organizations. Experience in presenting and working with diverse audiences and settings. Technical skills include proficiency with Adobe Suite products, ArcGIS Pro, Sketchup, and Microsoft Office Suite.
