BAE Urban Economics, Inc. (BAE) is seeking a qualified Analyst or Associate for our Berkeley, CA office. Analyst Position
Under the direction of senior staff, the Analyst will support project teams across all BAE offices in a wide range of public- and private-sector client engagements. Analysts work as part of a team to complete technical analyses and reports. Responsibilities include demographic and real estate market research, data collection, analysis, report writing, report production, and special projects.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning/urban studies, business administration, public policy, economics, or related fields, with coursework in urban planning, real estate development, Geographic Information systems (GIS), and/or urban economics preferred. Strong research and writing skills and computer knowledge are essential.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to gain professional experience and is considering pursuing a graduate degree in city and regional planning.
Salary: $52,000 to $64,000 per year. Additional bonus pay may be granted based on individual and company performance.
Associate Position
Under the direction of senior management and working out of the Berkeley office, the Associate will support project teams across all BAE offices in a wide range of public- and private-sector client engagements. Associates work as part of a team to complete technical analyses and reports, and provide support for activities such as preparation of proposals and presentations, and special projects. Associates are expected to plan and execute analytical tasks, prioritize multiple assignments, and complete deliverables in a timely manner with creativity and attention to detail.
This position requires:
- Masters degree in city and regional planning, business administration, or another related field
- 1-2 years relevant work experience
- Understanding of the real estate development process
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong professional writing skills
- Driver’s license and ability to travel
Skills and experience in pro-forma financial modeling, fiscal impacts, demographic analysis, GIS, IMPLAN and statistics software packages are desirable, as is a working knowledge of the Northern California region.
Salary: $76,000 to $92,000 per year. Additional bonus pay may be granted based on individual and company performance.
