The City of Albuquerque’s Planning Department is looking for a historic preservation planner to serve as staff to the Landmarks Commission. This position would review/decide Historic Certificates of Appropriateness, help write grants for conservation projects, develop and apply standards and guidelines, and conduct public engagement for new historic districts, landmarks, and overlay zones.

Desired experience: design review; customer service; grant writing; equitable community engagement; and familiarity with historic preservation principles, building design, and land use.
