Living Habitats is currently seeking two entry-level to junior-level landscape designers to join our office in Chicago.
Founded in 2001, Living Habitats is an award-winning landscape architectural practice that was born out of an appreciation for the complex beauty of the natural environment and an irrepressible passion for making this resource accessible and tangible in our work. For over two decades, our responsive design solutions have demonstrated mindfulness of the ecological systems that support and inform our work on private, institutional, and public lands, in urban, suburban, rural and natural contexts.
Landscape Designer Position
Ideal candidates will demonstrate outstanding communication skills and design capabilities – both digital and hand drawn and the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative fast-paced environment. Candidates should have experience and understanding of landscape architecture studio workflows, processes, and craft. Successful candidates are expected to have technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite workflows. Experience in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp, Rhino and Revit are preferred. A professional degree in landscape architecture is required.
This position is an in-person career opportunity and candidates will be expected to reside in the Chicagoland area. Our office supports a hybrid work model to allow reasonable flexibility for individual and family responsibilities. Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish and additional language skills are a plus. This is an excellent opportunity for growth in an innovative and dynamic workplace.
