The City of Portland's Planning & Urban Development Department is seeking experienced candidates for a Development Review Coordinator (DRC). The DRC reviews site plans and inspects projects for compliance with development approvals, including Portland’s engineering and construction specifications, with an emphasis on environmental protection, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and the ability to review plans for consistency with local ordinances. The DRC is responsible for overseeing performance guarantees for projects, ensuring compliance with construction management plans and other approvals, conducting inspections, and maintaining all project and annual inspection reports. The DRC would be joining a creative team of people in a fast-paced, dynamic department. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and a willingness to collaborate. Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience in land use, environmental management, code enforcement, site development, civil engineering, municipal planning and/or landscape architecture. Starting salary range of $55,107 to $61,951/year, based on education and experience - plus 6% differential for eligible professional certifications.
