The Position

Consultants are responsible for research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data synthesis, presentation of findings, and preparation of deliverables (presentations, technical memoranda and reports), assembling zoning case filings, zoning determination and due diligence memoranda. Consultants must have the ability to examine, organize, analyze and synthesize various data in a timely manner, ask thoughtful questions and draw reasonable conclusions and/or recommendations from the analysis.  The Consultant will organize and direct community meetings and charrettes. Consultants must have the experience and capability to serve as the staff planner at City Council hearings for municipalities the firm represents. Consultants will collaborate with senior consultants and executives of the firm on multiple projects in multiple municipalities at one time. The Consultants must effectively plan, organize and execute tasks for various projects as well as manage time accordingly to meet client needs and deadlines and represent the Company during client interactions. 


Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with preference for graduate training as well as a minimum of four years professional experience or training that demonstrates the abilities to perform essential job functions. Educational background and professional experience in planning, architecture, engineering, business, public affairs, public administration, real estate or related fields are preferred.  Consideration will be given to equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required mastery of skills and knowledge to perform position responsibilities.  Candidate must be motivated, detail oriented, accurate, and capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects while meeting deadlines and consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills in all mediums as well as technical capabilities are required (Excel, PowerPoint, GIS, web design, etc.).  The Candidate’s background should demonstrate senior level work experience with significant previous responsibilities and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team setting.
