The Planning Support Toolkit (https://planningsupport.org/tools/) is a free, easy-to-use collection of Excel workbooks for applying the urban and regional analysis and projection methods described in Richard E. Klosterman, Kerry Brooks, Joshua Drucker, Edward Feser and Henry Renski, Planning Support Methods: Urban and Regional Analysis and Projection (Rowman and Littlefield, 2018)

The toolkit includes the following methods: (1) trend projection, (2) share projection, (3) Hamilton-Perry, (4) cohort-component, (5) shift-share analysis, and (6) location quotient. The book describes the methods, applies them to an American city and county, and identifies free, online sources for the data required to apply the methods.
