Julie Menin is president of Wall Street Rising -- their newest project is a downtown information center.
"The new transportation hub is tremendously [one of the most important steps toward revitalizing downtown]. We need to create direct access from the airports to downtown, as well as a direct link to the Long Island Rail Road. Secondly, residential development is critical if we ever want to make LoMa a truly vital and vibrant 24/7 community. And that ties into another critically important factor, which is retail development-we need to have more stores, more restaurants and more cultural facilities."
