COORDINATOR/MANAGER – PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION
The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is seeking a Manager/Coordinator of Planning and Transportation. Position is responsible for planning, research, program development, strategic implementation of downtown-focused urban planning, land use, transportation, social services, GIS and environmental initiatives.
Assists in the implementation of the Downtown Miami Master Plan, planning studies, programs, and projects, including the DDRI, urban planning initiatives, zoning policy analysis, program implementation and research of best practices.
Assists in computer automated drafting/design + GIS. Manages planning, land use, design and transportation consultants. Works with Downtown stakeholders, private businesses, government agency representatives, civic/non-profit organizations, and residents to identify, prioritize, and implement projects addressing priority community concerns. Liaison to other technical-advisory agencies.
Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Architecture/Design, Public Administration or related fields; and up to five years progressively responsible experience. Master’s degree highly desired, which may be substituted for experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and timely manner. Word, Excel, Illustrator and PowerPoint experience. GIS and AutoCAD, highly desired.
