Sprawl May Choke Canada's Growth

A Canadian economist calls for urban growth boundaries to limit sprawl which threaten the country's economic health.

"A TD Bank economist yesterday called for more regulation of urban development, lest urban sprawl choke Canada's economic growth.... The report warned that unless urban sprawl is stopped, growth could 'choke off economic expansion and gains in living standards.'"
