Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan

The Sonoran Desert Conservation Plan wins the 2002 Outstanding Plan from the American Planning Association.
"The plan has taken conservation planning to the next level by integrating ecosystems, economic growth, cultural resources, and development," says Bruce Knight, AICP, chairman of the APA awards jury. "This is an excellent model of creative planning that shows growing communities how to balance our built and natural environments."
