Dipping into Colorado's census information reveals 7,000 new farms in the state, in addition to other surprising statistics.
Burt Hubbard writes, "The state had the distinction last year of having the highest rate of fraud complaints in the nation among states.
A total of 359.5 complaints for every 100,000 residents were filed with the Federal Trade Commission.
It didn't fare much better with identify theft. It had the 10th-highest rate of identity-theft victims in the nation — 100.9 per 100,000 residents. Arizona led the nation with 149 per 100,000 people."
