"A controversial project to build a shopping mall in a historic town of Transylvania, Romania has met strong opposition from traditional practitioners. The name of the town is Sibiu, to be nominated on the UNESCO Heritage List and the 2007 cultural capital of Europe. The local authorities appear to support a private initiative to build a shopping mall within the historic part of the city, which is a listed A area."
