Electeds and community leaders focus on solutions to traffic and housing affordability woes
Planning for a million people by within the next 15 years, Ventura County officials and civic leaders called for "smart growth" solutions of more compact housing, transit and continued protection of ag land and open space. They also heard author Joel Kotkin tell them that creating denser and more diverse "suburban villages" is the way wave of the future.
