"While many in the Omaha metro area long to reach the magical 1 Million population mark, moderate growth allows government and schools to keep up.

"Omaha's future growth raises concerns about land-use policy and allocation of state spending." Two primary concerns are: land-use planning, and influencing decision-makers in Lincoln (the state capital).
