A "slow-growth" groups sues city over permits in Pasaden, CA.
" At the heart of the controversy is the city's definition of "mixed use,' which generally refers to ay project that combines residential and commercial in the same building.
According to the suit, the city's Zoning Code Interpretation...says mixed-use projects should meet commercial project standards. Under those strictures, a mixed-use building could be no taller than 40 feet.However, the lawsuit contends the city regularly grants permits that allow developers to flout the height limit, even after repeated warnings from members of SSOG and others. "
