The Verve, a new organization in Tampa, works to achieve goals of the creative class.
A growing number of people between the ages of 25-34 want to make Tampa a better place to live, work, and play. They have formed an organization called The Verve to help reach those goals. The Verve does not have a specific agenda in itself, but serves to facilitate those of the members. Many of the members work in creative industries such as internet technology, marketing, broadcasting, art and finance. The work of Richard Florida inspired the creation of the Verve, in addition to worries about young resindents leaving the area.
