Houston: Urbanism Meets The Wild West

SpaceCity is beginning to bridge its auto-dominated wide open spaces with more attention to developing its urban fabric.
Notorious for its lack of land-use zoning, its sprawling freeways, and its freewheeling entreprenurial spirit, Houston is beginning to see beyond its trophy-building mentality. City leaders have begun to realize the importance of urban density, pedestrian amenities, and developing connections between skyscrapers. "Now Houston is making amends, like an urban cowboy who has learned to sip chardonnay."
