As the program and policy lead, you will be charged with developing, recommending and implementing policy, strategic direction and programmatic compliance activities for the Rail and Public Transit Division and lead all aspects of the division's strategic policy and planning activities to implement the public transportation program across  the state of Oregon.
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) works to provide a safe, efficient transportation system that supports economic opportunity and livable communities for Oregonians.

This position is with the Rail and Public Transit Division (RPTD) in Salem.  The Rail and Public Transit Division supports Oregon's public transportation systems. The Public Transit Section supports mobility options for Oregonians through advocacy, collaborative partnerships, and grant programs. The Rail Section represents and advocates for customers of railroads, both passenger and freight, to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable rail transportation system.
