Job Summary: 

Directs metropolitan transportation planning and integration as the outward face of planning for UTA.  In coordination with Government Relations, Communications, and Capital Projects, advances strategic planning for regional transportation goals through interaction with community and transportation leaders.  Fosters positive policies relating to land use and environmental stewardship. Leads UTA strategic planning and service planning programs consistent with transportation planning priorities.  Coordinates efforts of capital development projects with bus and rail service delivery.  Develops and makes recommendations on changes to fare policy in alignment with UTA planning and financial goals.

Education Training: 

Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field.


Seven years in strategic transit planning including at least five years managing strategic processes and related work experience.  Understanding of federal funding and grant application process.  Background and experience in Strategic Planning, Urban Planning, Statistics, GIS, Public Administration, and Economics with demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
