University Land Use Planning Manager
The University Land Use Planning Manager provides leadership for the University Land Use Planning (ULUP) program.
The manager provides land use planning guidance and expertise for all university campuses and locations statewide to support university strategic goals and mission; and provides strategic advice to university leadership on land use planning matters.
The University Land Use Planning Manager helps OSU leadership coordinate the vision and objectives of various planning documents to help OSU develop in a cohesive, thoughtful manner.
This position is responsible for managing or contributing to the development, modification, and implementation of OSU and/or city-adopted land use planning documents and policies that support the OSU Strategic Plans.
Examples of planning documents include the OSU Campus Master Plan (or its successor), OSU Strategic Framework Plan, OSU Transportation Plan, OSU Historic Preservation Plan, and district or special area plans.
Other responsibilities include contributing to conceptual facility design, regulatory agency approvals, environmental assessment and review.
Oregon State University lands are subject to local land use regulations, and the University Land Use Planning Manager is responsible for review of proposed campus developments for compliance with federal, state, and municipal land use and environmental laws, as well as OSU planning policies.
This position serves as the primary liaison to the Campus Planning Committee. The University Land Use Planning manager supports the associate vice president (AVP) for UFIO providing technical expertise and recommendations related to land use.
