The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is a regional planning agency serving Santa Barbara County and the eight incorporated cities within the county. SBCAG’s mission is to provide collaborative leadership, planning, projects and services to address regional and local needs to improve mobility and promote sustainable communities in Santa Barbara County.
POSITION AVAILABLE: SBCAG is seeking to fill one Transportation Planner position in the Planning Division with a capable, detail-oriented individual with solid technical and interpersonal skills, who would like to work as part of a close-knit team at the agency. This is an entry-level position for an aspiring planning professional.
JOB DESCRIPTION: See website for detailed description. Must be able to perform complex, accurate calculations and data analysis, prepare correspondence and technical reports as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Strong writing and communication skills are essential. Possession of a valid California driver’s license is required.
REQUIREMENTS: See website for detailed description. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban or Regional Planning, Transportation Planning or Engineering or related field is desirable. U.S. citizenship is required.
