We have an immediate opening and excellent professional growth opportunity for a Senior Environmental Planner/Scientist to join our team ideally in our Los Angeles or Oakland offices. (Other locations may be considered.)

The Senior Environmental Planner/Scientist will be responsible for conducting and overseeing research, field work, impact analysis, report preparation, and business development related to CEQA/NEPA and related technical studies. The Senior Environmental Planner/Scientist will:

  • Write and manage the preparation of complex CEQA/NEPA documents
  • Oversee and train junior staff on CEQA/NEPA and other planning/environmental requirements
  • Interface with clients and make public presentations to agency decision-making bodies
  • Perform agency consultation and ensure environmental regulatory compliance
  • Perform various business development functions, including proposal preparation and active involvement in planning/environmental organizations
  • Demonstrate confidence in decision-making and be recognized by clients and peers as having expertise in CEQA/NEPA and related technical areas

Required Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA Degree in applicable field and 5 years of increasingly responsible experience required
  • Advanced Degree (Masters/PhD) preferred
  • Experience in a private environmental consulting firm preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a large multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent organization, schedule and budget management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Willingness to travel as projects require
