Responsibilities

Provides urban design, community design, site planning, neighborhood design, design guidelines, form based / hybrid codes and project management services to a wide variety of private and public clients. Serves in a firm-wide leadership role in the pursuit and implementation of legacy work through exceptional design, project graphic communication, planning, business development, and project management.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited landscape architecture or architecture program with an emphasis in urban design is required
  • A master’s degree in landscape architecture, urban design, or architecture is preferred
  • Experience with site planning of residential neighborhoods, mixed-use districts, master planned communities is required
  • Understanding of the development process from project acquisition, site yield testing, framework master planning, schematic planning, entitlement process
  • Strong skills in planning and urban design, site design
  • Familiarity and experience planning with different building typologies including podium buildings, wrap buildings, etc.
  • Familiarity planning with all the different land uses including residential, retail, office, resort/hospitality
  • Demonstrated ability in both hand drawing and digital drawing to quickly solve urban design problems
  • Experience with various graphic communication media and programs
  • Demonstrated ability in project management
  • Self-motivated with the ability and desire to lead others; and
  • The proven ability and desire to engage and retain clients as well as mentor less-experienced staff.

Compensation

The salary for this position is dependent on experience. This position is benefits eligible. Benefits include comprehensive health, wealth, and well-being benefits. Under Ownership of the company is held in an ESOP Trust, which is funded entirely by company.
